8. When all you want for your birthday is to not be reminded of your age.

9. It takes longer to rest than it did to get tired.

10. Your memory is shorter and your complaining lasts longer.

11. The pharmacist has become your new best friend.

12. Getting "lucky" means you found your car in the parking lot.

13. The twinkle in your eye is merely a reflection from the sun on your bifocals.

14. It takes twice as long ... to look half as good.

15. Everything hurts, and what doesn't hurt, doesn't work.

16. You look for your glasses for half an hour and they were on your head the whole time.

17. You sink your teeth into a steak -- and they stay there.

18. You give up all your bad habits and still don't feel good.

19. You have more patience, but it is actually that you just don't care anymore.

20. You finally get your head together and your body starts falling apart.

Just for Fun

Three women die together in an accident and go to heaven.
When they get there, St. Peter says, "We only have one rule here in heaven:  don't step on the ducks.  It's as simple as that."

So they enter heaven, and sure enough, there are ducks all over the place.  It is almost impossible not to step on a duck, and although they try their best to avoid them, the first woman accidentally steps on one.  Along comes St. Peter with the ugliest man she ever saw.   St. Peter chains them together and says, "Your punishment for stepping on a duck is to spend eternity chained to this ugly man."

The next day, the second woman accidentally steps on a duck and along comes St. Peter, who doesn't miss a thing.  With him is another extremely ugly man.  He chains them together, with the same admonishment as for the first woman.

The third woman has observed all this and, not wanting to be chained for all eternity to an ugly man, is very, VERY careful where she steps.  She manages to go months without stepping on any ducks.  But one day St. Peter comes up to her with the most handsome man she has ever laid eyes on ... very tall, muscular, and thin, with long eyelashes.  St. Peter chains them together without saying a word.

The happy woman says, "I wonder what I did to deserve being chained to you for all of eternity?"

The guy says, "I don't know about you, but I stepped on a duck."

More for fun

Those who grew up in small towns will laugh when they read this.

1) You can name everyone you graduated with.

2) You know what 4-H means.

3) You went to parties at a pasture, barn, gravel pit, or in the middle of a dirt road.   On Monday you could always tell who was at the party because of the scratches on their legs from running through the woods when the party was busted. (See #6.)

4) You used to 'drag' Main.

5) Most people went by a nickname.

6) You scheduled parties around the schedules of different police officers, because you knew which ones would bust you and which ones wouldn't.

7) You knew which section of the ditch you would find the beer your buyer dropped off.

8) It was cool to date somebody from the neighboring town.

9) The whole school went to the same party after graduation.

10) You didn't give directions by street names but rather by references. Turn by Nelson's house, go 2 blocks to Anderson's, and it's four houses left of the track field.

11) You couldn't help but date a friend's ex-boyfriend/girlfriend.

12) Your car stayed filthy because of the dirt roads, and you will never own a dark vehicle for this reason.

13) The town next to you was considered 'trashy' or 'snooty,' but was actually just like your town.

14) You referred to anyone with a house newer than 1945 as the 'rich' people.

15) The people in the 'big city' dressed funny, and then you picked up the trend 2 years later.

16) Anyone you wanted could be found at the local gas station or the dairy bar.

17) You saw at least one friend a week driving a tractor through town or one of your friends driving a grain truck to school occasionally.

18) The gym teacher suggested you haul hay for the summer to get stronger.

19) Directions were given using THE stop light as a reference.

20) When you decided to walk somewhere for exercise, 5 people would pull over and ask if you wanted a ride.

21) Your teachers called you by your older siblings' names.

22) Your teachers remembered when they taught your parents.

23) You could charge at any local store or write checks without any ID.

24) The closest mall was over an hour away.

25) You've pee'd in a cornfield.

3. Add 5

4.  Multiply it by 50 5.

If you have already had your birthday this  year add 1758.  If you haven't, add 1757.

 6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born. You should have a  three digit number -
The first digit of this was your original number. (i.e., How many
times you want to go out to restaurants in a week.) The next two numbers are YOUR AGE!  THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2008) IT
WILL EVER WORK!

Another Actual dialogue with a call center for computer help.

(Now I know why they record these conversations!):

Operator:      'Ridge Hall, computer assistance; may I help you?'
Caller:           'Yes, well, I'm having trouble with WordPerfect.'
Operator:      'What sort of trouble??'
Caller:          'Well, I was just typing along, and all of a sudden the

                      words went away.'
Operator:      'Went away?'
Caller:          'They disappeared'
Operator:      'Hmm. So what does your screen look like now?'
Caller:           'Nothing.'
Operator:       'Nothing??'
Caller:           'It's blank; it won't accept anything when I type.'
                                      Continued on next column -

Continued -

Operator:      'Are you still in WordPerfect, or did you get out??'
Caller:           'How do I tell?'
Operator:     'Can you see the 'C: prompt' on the screen??'
Caller:          'What's a sea-prompt?'
Operator:      'Never mind, can you move your cursor around

                     the  screen?'
Caller:           'There isn't any cursor; I told you, it won't accept

                       anything I type.'
Operator:      'Does your monitor have a power indicator??'
Caller:           'What's a monitor?'
Operator:       'It's the thing with the screen on it that looks like a

TV. Does it have a little light that tells you when it's

                      on??'
Caller:           'I don't know.'
Operator:       'Well, then look on the back of the monitor and find

where the power cord goes into it. Can you see that??'
Caller:            'Yes, I think so.'
Operator:       'Great. Follow the cord to the plug, and tell me if it's

                       plugged into the wall.
Caller:            'Yes, it is.'
Operator:       'When you were behind the monitor, did you notice

that there were two cables  plugged into the back of

                       it, not just one??'
Caller:           'No.'
Operator:       'Well, there are. I need you to look back there again

                       and find the other cable.'
Caller:            'Okay, here it is.'
Operator:       'Follow it for me, and tell me if it's plugged securely

into the back of your computer.'
Caller:            'I can't reach.'
Operator:       'OK. Well, can you see if it is??'
Caller:            'No.'
Operator:       'Even if you maybe put your knee on something and

                      lean way over??'
Caller:          'Well, it's not because I don't have the right angle -- it's

                      because it's dark.'
Operator:       'Dark??'
Caller:            'Yes - the office light is off, and the only light I have

is coming in from the window.'
Operator:       'Well, turn on the office light then.'
Caller:            'I can't.'
Operator:       'No? Why not??'
Caller:           'Because there's a power failure.'
Operator:       'A power .... A power failure? Aha. Okay, we've got it

licked now. Do you still have the boxes
and manuals and  packing stuff that your computer

                      came in??'
Caller:           'Well, yes, I keep them in the closet.'
Operator:       'Good. Go get them, and unplug your system and pack

it up just like it was when you got it.
then take it back to the store you  bought it from.'
Caller:            'Really? Is it that bad?'
Operator:        'Yes, I'm afraid it is.'
Caller:            'Well, all right then, I suppose. What do I tell them??'
Operator:       'Tell them you're too stupid to own a computer!!!'
