Snowshoeing is a perfect sport for all ages.
There are water falls such as Sheep Creek Falls, Woody Falls and Silver Gate Falls just to name a few, which are within a couple miles directly from most all lodging places in the valley.
Whether you choose to shoe along one of the many creeks to watch for animal sightings or to venture to one of the falls or ice walls, you can start as early as November and shoe through April. It is the perfect sport for the somewhat "cross country ski" challanged athlete who still wants to enjoy the quiet beauty of the area. Snowshoe rental is available for young and old.
