The 2017-2018 Chamber Board
Lisa Ohlinger, Elkhorn Lodge
Since stepping foot in "The Coolest Small Town" of Cooke City in 1999 I had always "Dreamed" of living in Cooke City. In May of 2009 I made that dream a reality as my husband Jeff and I purchased the Elk Horn Lodge. I am also a licensed Realtor with Montana Realty in Cooke City! I had previously served on the Chamber board as President. I am excited to return to help in whatever capacity that I am needed. I think you should make time to give back to your community! I am also a member of the Cooke City Search and Rescue and Upper Yellowstone Snowmobile Club. Jeff and I are the parents of a 28 year old daughter. I enjoy backpacking, skiing, reading, traveling and cooking.
Deb Myers Purvis, Beartooth Cafe
Deb Purvis grew up skiing, fishing and camping around Cooke City. She bought a second home here 20 years ago and for the last 16 years has been a partner in the Beartooth Cafe. Four years ago she moved here full time.
Deb serves on the Cooke City Water District and the Cooke City Area Chamber board because she would like to try to give something back to the community she loves.
"This community seemed like a magical place when I was a child. I had no idea at that time what an important and special part of my life it would be become. These people are my extended family."
Mona Abelseth, Cooke City Motorsports
Owner/President at Cooke City Motorsports & Crown Butte Rentals LLC
Jill Warren, Creekside at Yellowstone Vacation Rental
Jill and her family bought property in Silver Gate in 1998, spending summers and holidays in this amazing region. When she and her husband Greg Shifflett retired from their jobs as science teachers, they moved here full time in 2016 and began operating Creekside at Yellowstone, a vacation rental home. Jill and Greg have a daughter and a son. Jill looks forward to contributing to the Board and the community in any way she can.
Bob Smith, Bearclaw Bakery
Donna Rowland is the Executive Director of the Chamber. She grew up in Wisconsin and has lived here for over 15 years. Donna oversees the daily operations of the Chamber and the Visitor Center. She has served as a volunteer in many different ways including serving on several community boards.
